Amanda Brassington

Amanda is a keen researcher, with a particular interest in evaluation and social impact measurement. She has designed and successfully managed a number of research projects and is confident in both primary and secondary research techniques. Key experiences include: mapping and feasibility studies; appraisal of existing strategic services; coordinating baseline analysis; introducing effective techniques and setting quality of life indicators to enable the monitoring of improvements in local communities perception on quality of life and sustainable development.

Having a strong focus on inclusive approaches, Amanda has tried and tested a variety of methods to capture and connect with a cross section of the community, from business to traditionally hard to reach groups. She is an open listener, an interpretivist and has a keen interest in ensuring every interaction is a learning experience for all involved.

Ruth Livesey

With career foundations built in financial accounting and auditing, Ruth’s strength lie in designing and implementing management information systems that are simple to apply, yet capture meaningful data. Combining skills accumulated in the private, public and social economy sectors, she is a strategic thinker; investigative and perceptive, able to generate action to facilitate the journey to solution.

A believer in the value of networks to encourage the expansion of social capital, through trust and reciprocity, most recently, Ruth built the membership of the regional umbrella; Women’s Business Network (NW) Ltd, to fifty networks across the North West region, representing over 5,000 women in business. She has a particular interest in the social economy sector and has a Masters in Social Enterprise at Liverpool John Moores University, awarded with Distinction.

Nicola Scott

European funding expert with over 18 years experience , Nick has exceptional bid writing and fundraising skills, having raised in excess of £45 million in the past five years and yet she does not describe herself as a fundraiser!

Social enterprise specialist and advocate, she is well respected in the field. Experienced strategic operator having worked with, and for, Regional Development Agencies (RDA), Government Offices, Department of Trade & Industry (DTI), National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO), European Dialogue, Department for International Development (DfID) and the Agency for Development Initiatives etc. Consummate networker, relationship forger and organisational/partnership broker. Lateral thinker, innovator and ideas generator. Solution focussed, deadline driven, no nonsense effective project manager.
